The 'Friends of Clydach Heritage Centre' is a volunteer-led group dedicated to preserving and sharing the rich history of Clydach.
They manage the Clydach Heritage Centre, situated in the scenic Coedgwilym Park beside the historic Swansea Canal. The centre showcases a timeline of the village’s development from 1794 to today, along with a collection of historical materials.
In 2012, the group secured a Heritage Lottery Fund grant for the Memories of Old Clydach project, which focuses on collecting and preserving local stories. They also organise educational talks, training sessions, and events to engage the community in Clydach’s heritage.
The Friends of Clydach Heritage Centre welcome new members and volunteers to support their work, whether by assisting at the centre, helping with events, or contributing to historical projects.
